Meet the doctors of Wynkoop Dental

Our Doctors

Dr. Erin Cherry

I’ve been at Wynkoop Dental since 2012 and I couldn’t be more excited to wake up in the morning and go to work. My team loves our patients as much as I do and we make being at the dental office a fun experience…can you imagine?!!

I am happiest when I am learning and growing.  I like to stay on top of what’s new and great to treat patients.  In particular I’m very interested in the bite and how it relates to your overall health.  This includes TMD treatment as well as straightening teeth with Invisalign to create better oral health.  I believe in prevention and teaching people about how to avoid dental problems before they start. I’m involved in numerous study clubs and take a lot of time to attend continuing education each year.  Another thing I enjoy about being a dentist is building relationships with my patients and empowering them to love their teeth as much as I do!

I grew up on the other side of the mountain in Grand Junction.  I headed west to UC San Diego for Undergrad and then up to University of the Pacific for Dental School in San Francisco.  I couldn’t stay away from Colorado forever, this great state is where my heart belongs. I enjoy being outdoors and traveling.  I live in the Highland neighborhood and love the community feel it has while still being close to bigger city conveniences like delicious restaurants.  My husband Daniel and I have two daughters and one son to keep us busy!

Dr. Allison Brown

I joined Wynkoop Dental in 2016, and couldn’t be happier!  Our team is so excited to learn and grow as dentistry evolves, and the enthusiasm and teamwork in our office is incredible. I love serving our patients in the best way I can, and they all make it not only possible, but fun! How could I not love my job?

Both of my parents are in the dental field, so it probably isn’t terribly surprising that I also got drawn in.  But although I love them dearly, it was my orthodontist in the 4th grade that really got me excited. The office was always so much fun, I literally couldn’t wait for my next appointment!  As I got older and really started to understand and value what an impact they made on my life, I realized they were loving their jobs because they got to make people happy and boost their confidence all while helping them get healthy.  That got me hooked!I really love being a dentist!  I love connecting with my patients and helping them feel empowered and excited about their oral health.  The dental field is constantly changing, and I love learning and growing as a provider so I can offer the best and most up to date treatments for my patients.

Originally from Newport Beach, CA I traveled north for an Integrative Biology degree at UC Berkeley and then pursued my dental education at University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco.  Following dental school, I came to Colorado to complete my General Practice Residency at Denver Health Medical Center. While I originally planned for a year in the mountains before heading back to California, I fell in love with this outdoor paradise and couldn’t leave!  My husband and I live in Westminster, and jump on any excuse to get outdoors. When not at work, you can find us out listening to some live music, snowboarding, boating, fishing, camping, and hiking with our three crazy dogs. We also just welcomed baby #1 to the family at the end of 2018!

Dr. Stephanie Miller

When I was in the 6th grade, I wanted to be exactly like my dad’s best friend, a dentist in the military. Fourteen years later, I made my dream reality when I graduated from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health and commissioned as a Captain in the US Army. The Army took me many places in five years…many I’d never imagined visiting!

I met my husband Mike during my graduate residency in Colorado Springs. I spent the next 2 years in Alaska overseeing and providing the dental care for 3500 Soldiers in my Airborne Infantry brigade (and yes, I did jump out of planes!). The last 2 years were spent in Maryland seeing patients full time while managing a satellite clinic and providing the clinic training for the entire staff. The Army taught me a lot, especially patience, resilience, diligence, and attention to detail. While I will miss the peers I met and my amazing patients in the military, I’m very excited to join the team at Wynkoop Dental and serve our community.

I spend many hours each year taking continuing education classes to expand my skills. One goal of mine is to be a fellow at the Academy of General Dentistry by 2020.  The amazing commitment this will take will directly result in a higher level of care that I believe each and every patient deserves! I am excited to join the Wynkoop Dental team because of their commitment to the highest quality of care and treating our patients as well as we would our own families. The best part of my day is when a patient tells me that now they love coming to the dentist because of the kindness we have shown them.

Being new to Colorado, you’ll find me and my husband, Mike, out exploring and trail running with our dog Frank whenever we get the chance!

Dr. Chelsea Stangl

I have been honored to be a part of the Wynkoop Dental team since our debut in 2011. However, my husband, Dave, and I moved our family to Crested Butte in late 2017. While I am still involved with Wynkoop Dental and absolutely love our patients and team, I am currently phasing out of a clinical role at the office.
